MISSION: To tear down walls of injustice and violence, through Christ centered events, culturally relevant evangelism and discipleship.

WHAT IS SHOUT?: Shout is a ministry based on Joshua 6:16"...Shout! For the Lord has given you this city. " There are 3 main functions: Christ Centered Events that unite the Christian Community, Culturally relevant evangelism, and Discipleship. A common thread in everything we do is our quest to break barriers and establish unity in the body of Christ. 

We believe that when the body of Christ comes together in love, regardless of any walls of cultural differences, socio/economic barriers, denomination or generational gaps, we become a brighter light (Matt.5:13) and God can use us to change our community and even the world!

Christ Centered Events: Uniting the community with Christ centered events is a powerful tool for ministry. We organize summer basketball tournaments (hoopin’ 4 Jesus), slam Poetry events and Music concerts. Every event that we host brings positive energy to the community and serves as an evangelism opportunity. We also hope to share the message of Jesus Christ in unconventional ways that are relevant to the times we live in. We are intentional about where our events are held.

Taking the gospel in neighborhoods that have negative reputations for violence or drug activity is God’s way of breaking the enemy’s camp. We believe that where the spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty. We want to release that spirit where it is most needed.

Culturally Relevant Evangelism and Discipleship: Jesus Christ is our example of how to reach a dying generation, and it isn’t by staying in the 4 walls of a church building and hoping they will come to us. Christ said, “…I am sending you out as lambs among wolves.” Luke 10:3 We understand that in order to reach people with the message of Jesus Christ we must present the gospel in a way that is relevant to the culture. All of our ministries are organized with the people we hope to serve at heart.

The discipleship component happens in living rooms within the neighborhoods we serve. We bring the church to the people! Every Thursday night, bible fellowship takes place in different homes throughout the community.
