Come out and represent your church or ministry in Shout’s 2^nd Annual Hoopin’ 4 Jesus basketball tournament at Sullivan park in Waterloo, June 20-21^st. Have your church play to take home the H4J Championship trophy! Come out to watch and support a basketball tournament that honors the Most High, enjoy good food, good people, and a good time at the park.

Rules & Policies

•       5 to 15 players on a team
•       Teams can be Coe-ed (male and female welcomed)
•       Players must be at least 16 years of age
•      Players who are under the age of 18 must have signed parental consent to participate in the tournament
•       A team can be combined to represent two churches/ministries
•     Teams may not consist of more than two churches/ministries
•     A church/ministry can choose another church/ministry to team with, or can be appointed a joined church or ministry by Shout!
•       Churches/ministries can enter as many teams as desired in the tournament
•       Double elimination, each team is guaranteed to play at least two games
•       Players may not be on the roster of more than 1 team
•       Players may not be substituted onto the roster after the first game has been played

•       Teams can have 4 players to start and finish a game
•    If there are less than 4 players present 15 minutes after the scheduled game time, that team is prone to forfeit in order to keep the rest of the games scheduled regularly
•       Games consist of two 20 minute halves
•       Continuous clock except for the last 2 minutes of the second half
•   Overtime will be sudden death, first team to score wins (free-throws included)
•       Free throws are shot 1 time for a total of 2 points, except for a foul that is committed on a made basket that makes the free-throw worth 1 point. During the last 2 minutes of the second half, free throws will be shot by standard regulations and worth 1 point each.

•       Shout! would like to have churches be represented by members and church attendees. We encourage churches/ministries to invite non-members to play on their team. This may provide an evangelism opportunity-provided by Hoopin’ 4 Jesus!
•       Registration fee is $10 per player, $20 per player if t-shirts are desired
•   $5 per player for 100/1000 members, $10 per player if t-shirts desired
•   Contact us today to become a 100/1000 member!
•       Behavior that honors God is expected. Players who do not abide by orderly conduct may be removed from the tournament.
• There will be no refunds for any team or individual that is removed from tournament play or disqualified.
